Favorite things to tattoo:
I specialize in photorealistic/surrealistic portraits, especially women’s faces—there’s something timeless and powerful about these images. I got into tattooing because of my fine art background. My style is heavily influenced by classical art and the Old Masters, focusing on strong light and shadow to create depth. The terminator line—where light transitions into shadow on a curve, like a cheekbone—is one of my favorite details to execute. I also love doing close-ups of individual features: eyes, lips, or hands.
Beyond faces, I enjoy tattooing animals, particularly pet portraits. Figural and sculptural work appeals to me too—the human body offers so much shape and movement to play with. Bigger pieces are ideal because they let me focus on the details that make realism shine. At the end of the day, I just love tattooing things that look real, with depth and dimension. It’s what I’ve always been drawn to, both on paper and on skin.
Favorite placements:
The inner forearm is one of my favorite places to tattoo. It’s a smooth, flat canvas, making it perfect for portraits and detailed realism. The natural shape of the arm also frames the piece nicely.
Favorite artist:
Gustav Klimt, specifically his realistic portraits
Some of my other favorite things:
Oil painting, the Philadelphia Eagles, and my cat Eddie

Favorite things to tattoo:
I take the most joy in creating surrealist portraits. I love the contrast and dreaminess created by bloom in old Hollywood films and attempt to emulate this quality in my work. After creating a portrait, I often distort the image to further contribute to the bizarro dream-like effect. I like to incorporate and overlay imagery of animals, insects, nature, and Victorian items to bring visual intrigue and narrative to the character.
I excel in designing pieces with a variety of different subjects that interact with each other in unexpected ways. This functions best when clients come with vague elements they would like to see, but leave a lot of artistic freedom to me.
I gravitate towards black and grey realism, but I am always open to an artistic challenge if clients have a concept that requires a more stylized approach. At the end of the day, I just enjoy seeing a beautiful work of art come together and bring joy to my client so all concepts, big and small, are welcome!
Favorite placements:
I prefer to work on arms and legs, especially for more complex pieces. Generally speaking, there are just fewer challenges on arms and legs. I also take a lot of joy in mapping placement with my clients. I love to test out different spots to find out where a piece fits perfectly.
